The role involves handling dogs in various environments, including kennels, training facilities, public spaces, and during transportation. The handler works to maintain discipline, monitor health, and assist in training or operational tasks depending on the setting (e.g., security, police, military, or kennel).

Key Responsibilities

• Handle and care for dogs daily, ensuring proper feeding, grooming, and exercise.
• Train dogs in obedience, tracking, detection, or protection, depending on assignment.
• Monitor dogs’ behavior and health; report and respond to any signs of illness or distress.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kennels, cages, and working areas.
• Ensure dogs are properly leashed, muzzled, or restrained when required.
• Record and maintain logs on feeding, health checks, and training progress.
• Assist in transporting dogs safely between locations.
• Follow all safety and animal welfare protocols.
• Work closely with veterinarians, trainers, and supervisors to ensure proper care and performance.
